Recently, five people were tragically killed and nine others injured in Russian strikes on villages in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv Oblast, as reported by local authorities on May 19.
Among the victims were three men aged 58, 64, and 65, and two women aged 56 and 72, who lost their lives in the attacks on Novoosynove and Kivsharivka villages.
The ongoing violence in Kharkiv Oblast, with intensifying attacks by Russian forces targeting civilians and infrastructure, has led to a surge in casualties and displacement of residents.
The recent attack on a northern suburb of Kharkiv resulted in five civilian deaths, including a pregnant woman, and injured 16 others, including an eight-year-old girl in serious condition.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the “Russian terror” and called for more air defense systems to counter the escalating violence.
