Russian forces targeted a residential area in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with UMPB D-30 glide bombs injuring six people, including two children, on May 18. Kharkiv, located near the Russian border, has been under continuous attack. The recent offensive operations have intensified the violence in the region.
The attack led to the destruction of several houses, resulting in injuries to individuals of varying ages. Among the victims were a 47-year-old man, a 74-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, and two children aged 13 and 16. An 8-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction.
Following the incident, an investigation into the alleged war crime was initiated by the Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to this attack, a similar strike had caused casualties in the region, further escalating the already tense situation.
