The IDF said Hamas murdered Benjamin during the October 7 attacks.
The Israeli army confirmed that Hamas murdered hostage Ron Benjamin during the October 7 attack in Gaza.
Military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari mentioned that Benjamin’s body was retrieved along with three other hostages.
Benjamin was a victim of the October 7th massacre by Hamas militants, and his body was taken to Gaza, as stated by the military.
The IDF recovered the bodies of other hostages based on intelligence obtained from terrorists in Gaza.
The victims were taken hostage at the Nova music festival near the Gaza border.
Hamas militants killed over 360 people during the festival, with the victims comprising mostly civilians.
Out of the 252 hostages taken that day, 124 are still held captive in Gaza, with Israel calling for their release.
Campaign group The Hostages and Missing Families Forum urged for a deal with Hamas to bring back the remaining hostages for rehabilitation and dignified burial.
