The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that one person was killed and eight others injured with five persons having suffered shrapnel injuries.
A senior Resistance leader, Islam Khamaysa, was killed and eight others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Jenin refugee camp. The Islamic Jihad resistance movement’s military wing, Saraya al-Quds, confirmed Khamaysa’s assassination during the airstrike on Friday.
The targeted house was razed to the ground, destroying neighboring properties and injuring a young girl. Hundreds gathered for Khamaysa’s funeral as Saraya al-Quds vowed to remain steadfast in the resistance struggle.
Since October 7, over 35,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza, causing a humanitarian crisis with widespread displacement and famine.
The violence has also led to the displacement of nearly two million people, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
