Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is currently in a very serious condition after undergoing another operation following a gunshot attack. The director of the University Hospital where Fico is being treated described his condition as critical, as he remains in the intensive care unit after the surgery to remove dead tissue.
The defense minister and deputy prime minister, Robert Kaliniak, stated that it will take some time to determine the direction of Fico’s recovery. The prime minister was shot five times, resulting in serious injuries that required immediate medical attention. The first operation took place soon after the attack, with this latest operation indicating ongoing efforts to address the extent of his injuries.
