“The Palestine Chronicle spoke to Abdullah Karaja, a young relative of the family whose members were massacred on that tragic day.

On Monday, May 13, Israeli occupation forces committed a major massacre in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza, killing at least 37 members of the Karaja family. The strike hit a residential house where nearly 100 displaced persons sought shelter.

The survivors faced challenges as civil defense teams worked to recover bodies and provide aid amidst fuel shortages and ongoing attacks. Abdullah Karaja shared the devastating account of how his family, including renowned kebab maker Hussam Abu Al-Quraia, was wiped out in the bombing without warning.

Calling for Justice and Peace

Abdullah emphasized the need for accountability for the atrocities committed and urged an end to the violence plaguing Gaza for too long. The Karaja family tragedy serves as a painful reminder of the ongoing suffering endured by innocent civilians in the region.
