Azerbaijan Commits to Supporting Green Business Solutions, Says Deputy Energy Minister

The Azerbaijani state is dedicated to aiding businesses in the adoption of green solutions through financial and other means, according to Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov. Speaking at the “Enhancing Ambition, Enabling Action: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum” in Baku, Soltanov emphasized the importance of tackling climate change issues with an annual funding requirement of $2.4 billion globally.

Soltanov highlighted the significance of private sector involvement in the climate agenda, pointing out that government support for green transition can lead to significant long-term benefits. He expressed optimism that as more companies embrace green solutions, the need for international climate conferences like COP may diminish.
