Accused in Ghatkopar hoarding collapse case brought to Mumbai court

Director of Advertising Firm Arrested for Mumbai Hoarding Collapse

In a tragic incident, a giant hoarding in Mumbai collapsed, claiming the lives of 16 people. The director of the advertising firm responsible for putting up the billboard, Bhavesh Bhinde, was apprehended and brought to the city for further investigation.

Bhavesh Bhinde, of M/s Ego Media Pvt. Ltd., was arrested in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and flown to Mumbai for questioning. The police team, along with Bhinde, arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport early in the morning, and he was taken to a crime branch office for further procedures.

Following the tragedy, a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder was filed against Bhinde, all directors, officials, and employees of the advertising agency. The hoarding collapsed during gusty winds and unseasonal rains, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.
