Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal made a “special request” to the BJP, asking them not to politicise the incident as an “important election is going on in the country”
Three days after alleging assault by a close aide of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal reacted to her formal complaint made to the Delhi Police. She urged BJP not to politicize the incident during the ongoing elections.
Maliwal shared her difficult experience and thanked those who supported her amidst character attacks. She emphasized the importance of addressing national issues over personal incidents.
In her Hindi post, she hoped for appropriate action post her statement to the police and asked for political restraint. Maliwal accused Kejriwal’s staff member of misbehavior and assault, leading to a formal complaint to the Delhi Police.
The police team recorded her statement detailing the CM residence incident on May 13, possibly resulting in an FIR registration.
She elaborated on the sequence of events that unfolded, emphasizing the need for action on the matter.
