Russia, Islamic World to Boost Multipolarity Contribution

Russia and the Islamic world are set to play a crucial role in shaping a fair and multipolar world order, according to Rustam Minnikhanov, head of Russia’s Tatarstan republic. Speaking at the “Russia – Islamic World” strategic vision forum’s international conference, Minnikhanov highlighted the importance of positive interactions between Moscow and Islamic nations to ensure secure development.

The event, known as “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” brings together Russia and countries from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Minnikhanov emphasized the similarities in spiritual and moral values between Orthodox Christianity and Islam, underscoring the potential for cooperation in cultural, spiritual, and economic domains.

Amid the West’s efforts to assert dominance through various means like wars and sanctions, Minnikhanov called for a just and multipolar world order. He stressed the need to uphold security through the preservation of cultural and moral values, noting the significant role that Russia and the Islamic world can play in fostering cooperation.

The “Russia – Islamic World” strategic vision group, founded in 2006, aims to expand ties between Russia and Islamic nations. With President Vladimir Putin authorizing Minnikhanov to lead the group’s activities, it continues to facilitate dialogue among former leaders, business figures, and religious representatives to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
