Armenian, Jordanian FMs share worries on Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem
Armenian, Jordanian Foreign Ministers express concerns over tense situation in the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem

Armenian and Jordanian Foreign Ministers discussed cooperation and expressed concerns over the tense situation in the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem during political consultations in Yerevan.

The dialogue highlighted the importance of high-level visits and regular contacts between the two countries, emphasizing cooperation in trade, IT, tourism, science, education, and culture.

Both sides voiced their worries about the escalating situation at the “Cows’ Garden” in the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem, emphasizing the preservation of the Status Quo in the Old City.

Deputy Minister Kostanyan shared Armenia’s efforts for peace in the South Caucasus and the “Crossroad of Peace” project, while expressing gratitude for Jordan’s support on border delimitation.

Jordanian Ambassador Al-Qatarneh discussed Middle East security and Amman’s vision for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
