The 33rd Summit of the League of Arab States in Manama concluded with the adoption of the Bahrain Declaration, where His Majesty King Mohammed VI emphasized the importance of the Palestinian issue and the unity of the Arab Ummah. The Moroccan delegation, led by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, included Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita and other key figures.
The Summit recognized Morocco’s efforts in counter-terrorism, climate change, and the crisis in Libya. Arab leaders denounced support for armed groups against Arab interests and reiterated their commitment to fighting terrorism and extremism. They also called for UN peacekeeping forces in Palestinian territories for a two-state solution.
The Bahrain Declaration emphasized the UN Security Council’s role in establishing a timetable for a Palestinian state with East Al-Quds as its capital, in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. The Summit reaffirmed solidarity and unity among Arab countries in defending sovereignty and combating terrorism.
