Sindh Government’s Bold Move: Plans to Establish New Industrial Zones in Karachi
The Sindh Industries and Commerce Minister, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, recently announced the government’s ambitious plan to set up new industrial zones in Karachi and other areas of the province. This initiative aims to attract both local and foreign investments, boosting economic growth and creating job opportunities.
In a meeting with members of the Federal B. Area Association of Trade and Industry, Minister Dharejo disclosed that a dedicated one-stop solution plan will soon be implemented to address industrialists’ concerns effectively. The government also intends to allocate funds in the Annual Development Plan to enhance infrastructure in the existing seven industrial zones in Karachi.
Furthermore, plans are underway to establish industrial zones at strategic locations like Port Qasim to stimulate industrial activities and employment prospects. Minister Dharejo emphasized the need for improved infrastructure and urged prompt allocation of funds to renovate the deteriorating facilities in Karachi’s industrial zones.
