The Russian State Duma deputies have finalized the list of candidates for ministerial posts in the new government, as reported by RIA Novosti. The newly appointed ministers include Roman Starovoit as Minister of Transport, Anton Alikhanov as Minister of Industry and Trade, Sergey Tsivilev as Minister of Energy, Oksana Lut as Minister of Agriculture, and Mikhail Degtyarev as Minister of Sport. Additionally, several ministers retained their positions, including Anton Kotyakov, Alexander Kozlov, Sergey Kravtsov, Olga Lyubimova, Maxim Reshetnikov, Anton Siluanov, Mikhail Murashko, Irek Faizullin, Valery Falkov, Alexei Chekunkov, and Maksut Shadaev.
The candidates had the opportunity to meet with members of the relevant committees on Sunday, 12 May, to discuss their plans and ideas for their respective ministries. The new government is set to bring about significant changes and improvements in various sectors, aiming to lead Russia towards a brighter future.
