The Falkland Islands Pharmacy Department is currently facing staff shortages, leading to possible delays in repeat prescription collections. Patients are advised to be patient and understanding during this time.

The processing time for repeat prescriptions is two working days, and patients are reminded to plan ahead, especially before weekends or public holidays. Emergency requests will be prioritized.

For patients traveling overseas, the Pharmacy Department will provide up to three months supply of prescriptions, depending on availability and medical safety. Patients abroad for longer periods should register with a local GP for further prescriptions.

The Pharmacy Department appreciates the public’s cooperation and support during this challenging period.
