BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. A new Western Erez checkpoint has been opened in the northern part of the Gaza Strip for delivering humanitarian aid, according to the Israeli army (IDF).
The IDF stated that in coordination with the United States, the Western Erez checkpoint has been established to facilitate the delivery of aid to the residents of Gaza. This initiative is part of a larger effort to expand aid delivery routes in the region, specifically in the northern area of the Gaza Strip.
Through this checkpoint, humanitarian aid can now be more efficiently and effectively distributed to those in need in the Gaza Strip. This development signifies a collaborative effort between Israel and the US administration to support the residents of Gaza and provide essential assistance during times of crisis.
