I believe their love for Hind Rajab guides the movement so desperately needed to resist militarism.
On April 30, Columbia University student protesters renamed Hamilton Hall as “Hind’s Hall” in honor of Hind Rajab, a young victim of violence in Gaza.
The students are facing backlash for their activism, but their dedication to Hind’s memory fuels their resistance against militarism.
Hind, a six-year-old girl killed by Israeli forces, represents the countless innocent lives lost in conflicts fueled by geopolitical interests.
As universities become centers of protest for Gaza solidarity, students continue to push for divestment from companies supporting violence in the region.
Embracing Hind’s story, the students exemplify courage and humanity in the face of adversity, shedding light on the urgent need for peace and justice.
