In a successful intervention, the Department for Combating Computer Crime of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) located a minor from Olovo who had announced suicide on social media. Acting on a tip from Interpol, the police worked in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (MUP ZDK) to locate and identify the minor. The Center for Social Work was promptly informed for further action.
This incident marks the 15th case in the last two years where the FUP has prevented the suicide of minors. The swift action and collaboration between different agencies highlight the importance of addressing mental health concerns and online threats to young individuals.
