Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently criticized the Congress for still indulging in appeasement politics, as reflected in their manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In an exclusive interview with Network18, Goyal discussed the BJP’s focus on development versus the Hindu-Muslim agenda.
Goyal highlighted the shift in the BJP’s campaign towards discussing Hindu-Muslim issues after the initial phases of polling. He emphasized the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealing the direction that Rahul Gandhi and his associates wish to take India.
The minister pointed out that the Congress manifesto exposed their emphasis on appeasement politics, economic strategies advocated by Sam Pitroda, and politics of discrimination. Despite these revelations, Goyal affirmed that the BJP continues to prioritize development and a positive agenda.
Goyal also addressed the media’s portrayal of BJP’s narrative change and emphasized that the party remains focused on reaching out to people with a positive attitude. He reiterated that the election would determine the country’s future and emphasized the need to inform the public about the Congress’ mindset.
