Grande Prairie County No. 1 is under evacuation order due to a nearby wildfire. The fire, located east of Teepee Creek, is moving away from the community, as confirmed by the government of Alberta.
Residents are advised to head north to Township Road 742 and Highway 733, then register at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre on 11633 100 St, Grande Prairie. Essential items such as pets, documents, medication, food, and water for seven days should be brought along.
