Poland Reveals New Border Fortifications with Belarus

The East European country fortifies its borders amidst migrant fears and threat inflation by building new anti-migration structures on the Belarus border.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk urges EU collaboration to fund the development, emphasizing it as an investment in European security.

Tusk stated that Poland has initiated the construction of modern fortification lines along its entire eastern border with Belarus.

“We have begun intensive work on modern fortification lines in many dimensions,” said Tusk.

Thousands of migrants congregated on the Polish-Belarusian border in 2021, leading to accusations and counter-accusations between Warsaw and Minsk.

Poland has already completed a $400 million barrier wall along the 186-kilometer Belarus border, standing five meters tall.
