The anti-terror agency had launched a manhunt for the absconders, and on Friday managed to trace Paichar to Anemahal village in Hassan District, Karnataka.
Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha district executive committee member, was hacked to death by two motorcycle-borne assailants in Bellare village of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka by allegedly PFI cadres.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday captured a key absconder affiliated with the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), along with his harbinger, in connection with the murder of BJP activist Praveen Nettaru in Karnataka in July 2022.
Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha district executive committee member, was brutally murdered by PFI cadres in Bellare village, sparking outrage and investigations.
Mustafa Paichar, a wanted criminal with rewards on his head, was apprehended after NIA took over the case and filed charges against multiple suspects involved in the heinous crime.
Following a manhunt, Paichar was tracked down in Anemahal village, Karnataka, and was arrested along with his accomplice, Mansoor Pasha.
Investigations revealed Paichar’s involvement in training PFI members for terrorist activities, orchestrating attacks on Hindu leaders, and forming hit squads.
Paichar orchestrated Nettaru’s murder to spread fear and panic in society, highlighting the dangerous motives behind such extremist groups.
NIA’s relentless efforts led to the apprehension of the key suspect, shedding light on the dark operations of the PFI and the need for stringent action against such radical organizations.
