South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol emphasized the importance of setting forward-looking goals and maintaining patience in relations with Japan. Addressing foreign journalists, Yoon highlighted the need for compromises and agreements to strengthen leadership in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
Yoon expressed trust in Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and reaffirmed the strong alliance between South Korea and the United States. He also voiced support for Ukraine while condemning North Korea’s actions in supplying weapons to Russia.
Despite differences in viewpoints with Russia, Yoon emphasized the importance of pursuing cordial relations while standing firm on certain issues. The president’s diplomatic stance reflects his commitment to navigating complex international relationships.
