Observation Flight over Bosnia and Herzegovina under Open Skies

Observation Flight over Bosnia and Herzegovina under Open Skies

Attention all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina! An exciting observation flight will take place over our country from May 13 to 17 as part of the international “Open Skies” agreement. Officials from the Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Communications and Transport, and Sarajevo International Airport will be working together to conduct this important mission.

During this announced activity, a plane from the Romanian Air Force will fly over our country with sensors to record the territory. This is a routine activity in accordance with the agreement to gather data on military forces and activities. It is a way to build trust among member states and increase security cooperation.

Since joining the “Open Skies” agreement in 2003, Bosnia and Herzegovina has actively participated in observation flights over its own territory and other member states. There is no need for concern, as this is a standard procedure with international inspectors on board the aircraft.

We look forward to this event and encourage everyone to support this important effort to enhance security and cooperation among participating nations.
