President Volodymyr Zelensky and Czech President Petr Pavel discussed defense cooperation and Pavel’s participation in the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland. The summit, scheduled for June 15-16, will focus on implementing Zelensky’s 10-point peace formula for Ukraine, including the withdrawal of Russian troops from occupied lands.

Around 160 national delegations have been invited to the summit, with several countries already confirming their participation. The summit aims to establish a common negotiating position on the war’s outcome, to be presented to Russia.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Czech aid in providing artillery ammunition, with multiple countries, including Belgium, France, and Germany, contributing funds. A total of 1.5 million rounds are expected to be sent to Ukraine through the Czech-led initiative.
