The TikTok child molestation case in Lebanon has shocked the nation, with 12 suspects facing charges, including a well-known TikToker named Georges Moubayed.
The gang, led by Moubayed, targeted children by luring them through social media and promising them appearances in videos. The suspects, including famous TikTokers and minors, reportedly drugged and assaulted 30 children, with only eight parents filing complaints.
The gang used gifts like T-shirts and forced children to consume drugs in hotels. The victims, not older than 16 years of age, were filmed during the assaults and blackmailed into promoting drugs. The Lebanese security forces, after a month-long investigation, arrested six individuals and identified a total of 28 people involved in the case.
The police are working to apprehend all the members of the gang. This case highlights the importance of monitoring children’s online activities and raising awareness about the dangers of online predators.
