Richmond RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a witness to two alleged stranger assaults near Richmond-Brighouse SkyTrain station over a year ago. The incidents occurred on Buswell Street and involved two female victims who were rendered unconscious. One victim was hospitalized.
Police have charged Ernesto Mendoza Malgapo, 41, but require more information to progress the investigation. They are specifically looking for a witness captured in security footage near the scene. The witness is seen crossing the street when a black SUV turns right.
