Stay Informed with News24’s Daily Political Party Support Tracker

As South Africa gears up for its seventh election since 1994 on 29 May, News24 has partnered with the Social Research Foundation to bring you a daily tracker of political party support. The tracker, based on a baseline survey of 1,835 registered voters conducted in April, offers real-time insights into the shifting political landscape.

With many voters still undecided and party support levels fluctuating with each development or campaign, the tracker aims to provide a snapshot of voter sentiment leading up to the election. Updated daily with 200 new participants added and 200 removed, the tool does not predict the outcome but helps assess voter mood and the impact of various issues on party campaigns.

Established in 2021, the SRF’s tracking tool also models for different voter turnout scenarios, making it a valuable resource for understanding the upcoming election, deemed the most contested and unpredictable since 1994. Stay tuned as we update the graphs daily to keep you informed.
