Sarajevo Canton has taken a significant step towards improving agricultural production with the adoption of the Agricultural Land Development Program for 2024. This program aims to increase arable land, enhance land quality, and boost agricultural productivity. The measures outlined in the program include cleaning, leveling, fertilization, and drainage, among others, with a budget of 233,000 BAM allocated for implementation.
Minister of Economy Zlatko Mijatović emphasized the importance of the program in enhancing the agricultural sector’s productivity and economic sustainability. A Public Call for applications will soon be announced to allocate funds for the program. The arrangement of agricultural land will be based on detailed analysis and recommendations from registered agricultural professionals.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the development of agriculture in Sarajevo Canton, promising improvements in productivity and sustainability for local farmers.
