Students in Dhaka Protest in Support of Palestine
A group of student organizations in Dhaka gathered in front of the US Embassy to hold a program in support of Palestine. The police blocked their route to the embassy, so the students held their rally on the street opposite the Jamalpur Twin Towers. Traffic was halted for about an hour as the students chanted slogans condemning Israel and calling for an end to the violence in Gaza.
Despite police intervention, the students demanded an immediate halt to US aid to Israel and justice for those responsible for the violence against Palestinians. They accused Western countries, including America, of aiding Israel in committing genocide. The protesters were passionate in their calls for solidarity with Palestine, expressing outrage at the ongoing violence.
The demonstration drew hundreds of students and ordinary citizens carrying banners and placards in support of Palestine. The students stood firm in their beliefs, advocating for an end to the unjust treatment of Palestinians and holding the US government accountable for their support of Israel.
