UN ambassador refutes involvement of resistance group in Iran’s response to Israel

The Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Rejects Israeli Accusations

Iran’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations has dismissed Israeli accusations against the Islamic Republic, stating that no resistance groups were involved in Iran’s missile and drone strikes on occupied territories. In letters to the UN Secretary General and Security Council President, Amir Saeid Iravani refuted claims by the Israeli ambassador to the UN and emphasized Iran’s adherence to international law and promotion of peace.

Iravani clarified that Iran’s strikes were in response to Israeli aggressions and solely conducted by Iran, targeting military objectives to prevent civilian harm. He debunked the notion of Iran having proxies in the region and highlighted the legitimate actions of resistance factions in fighting against Israeli occupation.

The Iranian envoy called out Israel’s violations of international law and UNSC resolutions, urging the Security Council to address the regime’s destabilizing actions and atrocities against Palestinians. He condemned Israel’s attempts to divert attention from its actions by making baseless allegations and emphasized the need for decisive action to ensure regional and international peace.

The IRGC’s Operation True Promise, launched in response to an Israeli attack in Damascus, highlighted Iran’s commitment to defending its interests while holding Israel accountable for its actions.
