Breaking News: Townsville Teens Released from Detention Center Linked to Crime Spree
Three teenagers recently released from Cleveland Youth Detention Centre in Townsville are suspected to be behind a series of break-ins across six suburbs in Townsville.
A daring home invasion was thwarted by homeowner Michael McMillan when he confronted one of the teens, sending them fleeing into the night.
Expressing his concern, McMillan stated, “Knowing what I know about them being recidivist offenders, being let out very recently back straight to it, it’s very concerning and obviously my wife is fearful when I’m not home.”
Reports suggest the teens are also suspected of stealing multiple cars, including a BMW and a ute from local resident Collette Wasson.
Wasson recounted, “The police had their helicopter up yesterday afternoon. They were tracking them and travelling in convoy with other cars.”
All three teenagers are currently evading the authorities.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in capturing these suspects.
