Breaking News: Naan Bai Association Ends Strike After Successful Negotiations
After fruitful discussions with the district administration, the Naan Bai Association has officially called off their strike in Lahore. President Aftab Gul confirmed that most of their demands have been met, leading to the decision to suspend the strike. The association had initially demanded subsidised flour and a review of naan and roti prices to align with market rates. This decision comes after the association had announced a province-wide strike citing unfair pricing by the authorities. The Punjab government had recently set the price of roti at Rs 16, prompting the Naan Bai Association to issue a 96-hour ultimatum for a reduction in flour prices.
