Supporting unemployed parents with four or more children in Republika Srpska is a top priority for the government in 2024. Last year, a substantial amount of 59.95 million BAM was allocated for this cause, as reported by Srna news agency.
In January 2023, the Law on support for unemployed parents with four or more children in Republika Srpska came into effect. This law ensures a special form of assistance for these families, granting them monetary income and related benefits to ease their financial burden.
The monthly monetary income for these families is determined by the Government, with a minimum of 750 BAM. Additionally, taxes and other contributions are deducted from this income to ensure compliance with regulations.
The implementation of this supportive measure began in September 2022, marking the start of a new era for struggling families in Republika Srpska.
As per the government’s decision, financial assistance was provided to unemployed parents from September to December 2022, with each family receiving 750 BAM per month. A total of 11.4 million BAM was allocated for this purpose, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving the lives of these families.
