Blaze partially hits Qaysari Bazaar in Erbil

Fire Breaks Out in Qaysari Bazaar in Erbil

In a shocking turn of events, a fire erupted in the Qaysari Bazaar in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The Erbil Civil Defense team immediately sprang into action, battling to contain the flames and prevent further destruction.

The governor and mayor of Erbil rushed to the scene, drawing a crowd of concerned onlookers. Local authorities urged residents to stay away from the fire, while also calling for assistance from the community to help the firefighters in their efforts.

Tragically, initial reports revealed that over 370 shops out of the 4,000 in Qaysari Bazaar were completely destroyed by the fire. Despite the diligent efforts of the firefighters, smoke continued to billow from the scene long into the night.

With the flames finally extinguished, an investigation committee was swiftly formed to delve into the cause of the devastating incident. This marks yet another tragic fire incident following the September catastrophe where a wedding celebration in the Al-Hamdaniya district resulted in the loss of over a hundred lives and injuries to scores more.
