Protecting Lives: Ukrainian President Calls for Timely Decisions on Air Defense
In the midst of over 380 attacks by Russian invaders on Ukrainian cities and regions this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for urgent decisions on air defense systems and weapons to safeguard lives.
Zelensky took to Facebook to emphasize the critical need for timely action. He stated, “Timely and sufficient decisions on air defense for Ukraine and timely weapon supplies for our warriors are what we need right now to protect lives.”
Highlighting the areas most affected, Zelensky mentioned the regions of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa, where Russian forces have launched more than 380 attacks this week alone.
The ongoing daily terror inflicted by Russia on Ukrainian people and communities can be halted, according to Zelensky. He urged international partners to provide the necessary systems and arms to enable Ukraine to defend against the relentless attacks.
Expressing gratitude towards world leaders and nations that support the swift delivery and implementation of defense agreements, Zelensky emphasized that protection of Ukrainian lives extends to safeguarding all nations vulnerable to Russian aggression.
